Bedrolls are something that my mum created for me and my siblings as a child - to give her peace of mind and to allow us to play creatively and freely without worrying about getting our beds dirty. We made our beds each morning by rolling our duvets and pillows into the bedroll and covering our mattresses with a simple matching bed cover.

When we came back from school, our rooms felt tidy, our beds welcomed us to sit and play or read. And when we had friends over, we could go wild, building dens or play hotels or hospitals with the bedrolls as sofas or beds for our dolls. 

I now have the same bedrolls for my children, and they love them just as much as I did. And I love knowing that when it is bedtime, I will not need to clear out sand or mud from their beds and can let them play to their hearts' content during the day without nagging!
